Makes me wonder what the minimum CR is that you could fire off with 87 octane fuel.

If you’ve got such an inefficient engine due to low CR I wonder if you could cool it just using the fuel and air going into the cylinder itself, without any water or air cooling or fins on the outside

Pr obably not. There’s enough heat you at least need the find. I’m sure it works over some operating points, but temp/ p ressure/ h umidity is going to limit it.
